CU and SP: tackling abuses agency agencies Inland

The number of employment agencies has increased enormously since the late 1990s, the parties note. There are currently over 14,000. “This includes many rogue agencies who do not care very much about the payment, working conditions or housing of their employees,” says CU MP Bruins.

The quality requirements must be increased, the penalty regime must be tightened. “Everyone can make a mistake, but those who structurally mess it up must be subject to increasingly severe sanctions,” says SP Van Dijk. According to him, the temporary employment sector itself also demands stricter rules. “Cowboys create unfair competition for broadcasters who do follow the rules.”

On Monday, the parties will submit their proposals to the debate on labor migration.
