A study that analyzed epidemiological data from COVID-19 in Bolivia, Ecuador and Tibet found that in the high regions, above 2,500 meters above sea level, the spread of the virus is slower. Ultraviolet radiation, low atmospheric pressure and the genetics of the inhabitants would be some of the explanations.
