Of these, 20 were from abroad (UAE-8, Kuwait-5, Oman-4, Saudi Arabia-1, Qatar-1, Maldives-1) and 37 from other states (Maharashtra-20, Tamil Nadu-6 and Delhi). 5 came from Karnataka-4, Gujarat-1 and Rajasthan-1). 4 people got infected through contact. In Palakkad and Kollam districts, 2 persons have contracted the disease.
Of the 15 patients who were diagnosed with the disease, the test results were negative. Five people from Kannur (one from Kasargod), four from Kozhikode, two from Pathanamthitta and one from Malappuram and one each from Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam districts were negative. So far, 670 people have been diagnosed with the disease. 590 people have so far been released from the corona.

A total of 1,34,654 people are under observation in various districts of the state. In the last 24 hours, 3099 samples have been sent for inspection. So far, a sample of 67,371 individuals (including the augmented sample) has been sent for inspection. Of the 64,093 samples available, the test yield is negative. In addition, as part of Sentinel Surveillance, a total of 12,506 samples were collected from priority groups, such as health workers, multilingual workers, social contacts, and 11,604 samples were negative.

The new hot spots are in Badiyaddu, Pilikodu, Kasaragod district, Pallassa, Pudanagaram in Palakkad district, Thalassery municipality in Kannur district, Panmana in Kollam district, Punalur municipality, Kulathupuzha, Aryankavu and Thenmala. There are no containment zones in Kulathupuzha, Aryankavu and Thenmala hot spots in Kollam district. There are currently 116 hot spots.
