Bayern (Munich) easily won their eighth consecutive victory in the Bundesliga and again broke away at the top of 10 points from Borussia (Dortmund). This time the champions defeated Fortuna (Dusseldorf) with 5: 0, and if they had not slowed down, the difference in the result could have become double-digit.
The impressive series of the Bavarians from matches without a loss continues and now extends to a total of 15 consecutive matches. They last lost in a match of the championship on December 7 last year.
The hosts took the lead after a quarter of an hour of play, when Benjamin Pavar aimed a good pass to Serge Gnabri, and the ball bounced in Jorgensen for 1: 0. Initially, the world champion was recorded as a goal scorer, but then the goal was recorded as an own goal. The French defender still scored a regular goal after another fifteen minutes, when he scored with a header after a cross from a corner – 2: 0.
The usual suspect Robert Lewandowski scored the third goal two minutes before the break for 3: 0. The Polish striker took advantage of an exceptional assist by Thomas Mueller and scored from ten meters. Thus, he has already scored on absolutely all the teams that are in the Bundesliga at the moment.
Mueller’s assist was under 18 for him in the league this season. No other player has reached that number of goal passes after 29 rounds played in history.
Leva repeated the exercise five minutes after the start of the second half, when he again showed a killer placement in the penalty area and was again accurate from a short distance, this time after a pass from Gnabri – 4: 0. Alfonso Davis finished everything with a fifth goal 120 seconds later, when he masterfully freed himself from several opposing defenders in the penalty area to score for 5: 0.

Mainz 05 – Hoffenheim 0: 1
