WASHINGTON – The Trump administration is preparing to deploy troops in the wake of protests and violence over the killing of a black man in the United States, George Floyd, by a policeman infected with a virus of color.
With the death of Kovil, the American Floyd massacre is literally suffocating. Resentment towards the Trump administration, which was defeated by the virus, is also exploding in agitation.
The Pentagon is contemplating military action as the nationwide uprising reaches the White House. Military units are expected to be on emergency notice. Trump had announced he would call the army if necessary.
On Friday evening, crowds gathered near the White House, shouting Floyd’s last words, “I breathe.” She also carried pictures of Floyd and Eric Garner, a black man who was killed in police custody in 2014. The police closed all the gates to the White House for fear of the crowds.
The murder of Floyd is growing as a protest against the brutality of American police against African Americans.
A 19-year-old man was shot in Detroit yesterday. In Atlanta, the CNN office’s window smashed and a police car burned down. The city declared a state of emergency. Several police officers were injured in a mob attack in Brooklyn, New York. Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, Oakland and Washington DC People clashed with police in many places. Thousands of people took to the streets yesterday in violation of the curfew in Minneapolis. A Japanese restaurant, a bank and several office buildings were burned.
Derek Chow, the police officer who killed Floyd, will appear in court Monday. If convicted of murder, they could face at least 12 years in prison.
Floyd’s autopsy report does not state the cause of death was asphyxiation. Police use force and early heart disease is said to be the cause of death. But policeman Chauvin Floyd is described as having a knee injury. He was pressed on Floyd’s neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. Meanwhile, Floyd was in motion. For another three minutes, Chauvin pressed his knee down. Other officers stopped when they checked Floyd’s pulse. Two minutes later, Chauvin fractured his knee.
