Africa became COVID-19 Hotsot, with more than 100,000 confirmed cases, says WHO

NAIROBI: The World Health Organization’s warning has not gone wrong, and Covid-19 has spread to all parts of Africa.

Covid-19 cases have crossed 100,000 in the African continent. The World Health Organization also stated that Kovid has reached all parts of Africa.

Covid is not as intense in African countries as it is in other countries. However, 3,204 people have died in different African countries. The World Health Organization (WHO) has again warned that the deadly virus is far from over, and that the worst is likely to occur in the continent of Africa and the United States.

In the European continent, however, the death toll for Covid reached 100,000, and the total death toll was 4,900. In comparison, the mortality rate in Africa is low. This is due to the fact that 60 per cent of the total population of Africa is under 25 years of age.

There have been 1.5 million Covid tests in Africa so far. More and more people will be diagnosed with the disease if the diagnostic system is developed. Even before the spread of Covid in Africa, the adoption of safety precautions such as social distance, lock down, and quarantine helped to reduce the spread of disease.

The World Health Organization had earlier warned that Africa would be the next epicenter of Kovid. The World Health Organization also highlighted the fact that Africa does not have the necessary defense mechanisms to deal with such a pandemic. As the number of patients increases, the healthcare sector in Africa cannot afford it. It is also challenging that Ebola-like diseases have not yet been recovered from countries including the Congo.
