A man attacks and kills his father in front of 20 witnesses of the Zoom application

A man stabbed his 72-year-old father in New York while participating in a video chat on the Zoom app.

About 20 people were participating in the video call and became witness to a horrific murder, according to the “New York Times”.

Thomas Powers, 32, lived with his father, Dwight Powers, until he suddenly attacked him and the witnesses said, “We noticed that (Dwight) fell off the screen and we heard his heavy breathing.” They added, it was horrific to see that.

The call was a meeting of alcoholics, and unfortunately, the witnesses were unable to give the victim’s address to the emergency. Such a meeting is based on anonymity.

Finally, the police arrived an hour after the accident and the criminal had escaped from the window of the second floor, and the authorities were able to catch him.

Thomas was then charged with second degree murder, and he is due to be tried soon. It is still incomprehensible that motivated a 32-year-old man to commit this act.
