A 45-year-old man died of a coronavirus infection in Yambol. There are five newly registered cases of COVID-19 in the district.
Last night, no patients with symptoms of coronavirus were admitted to the Emergency Department of the Yambol Hospital. Emergency medics from Yambol believe that the lifting of the restrictive measures in the Raina Knyaginya neighborhood is hasty and could lead to a new wave of infected people.
In the Emergency Department, apart from the nurse with a positive test, the other medics are healthy. The necessary measures are taken to reduce the risk of infection for the teams.
Dr. Nedyalka Vlahova, Head of the Emergency Department at MHAT – Yambol: We created an organization where we separated the two streams. It is difficult to work in such conditions because the place where we place coronavirus patients is small, narrow. The team that comes in has to come out with patients who are healthy and we tried to protect the teams as much as possible, to protect the patients who come with other diseases.
