Thiruvananthapuram: Kovid confirmed to 42 people in the state yesterday. For many, this is the first time a day is diagnosed. With this the total number of patients has reached 732.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said the disease was reported in Kannur (12), Kasargod (seven), Palakkad (5), Kozhikode (5), Thrissur (four), Malappuram (four), Kottayam (two), Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Wayanad.
Of these, 17 came from overseas (Kuwait-7, UAE-5, Qatar-2, Saudi Arabia-3) and 23 from other states (Maharashtra-21, Tamil Nadu-1 and Andhra Pradesh-1). A health worker in Kannur got infected through contact. Meanwhile, the results of two inspections in Malappuram went negative. A total of 216 patients were treated. 512 were cured. Hot spots – 28.
