Kovid has confirmed 19 people, including 11, in Palakkad district. A man from Kuwait was diagnosed with the disease at Manjeri Medical College. One of the persons confirmed by Kovid was a resident of Chengannur taluk who arrived at the Thiruvananthapuram airport on April 17 from Abu Dhabi.

Kovid also confirmed to a young man from Mavelikkara taluk that he arrived in Kochi on May 19 from Saudi. After coming to Kerala, they were in Quarantine at Covid Care Center in Alappuzha district. One of them is a woman from Kuttanad taluk and the other is a youth from Chengannur taluk. The native of Kuttanad reached Thiruvananthapuram by train on the 19th and was staying at his home in Alappuzha.

The native of Chengannur was admitted to the Ernakulam train on the 19th and was in Quarantine at the Covid Care Center in Alappuzha district. The mother of a young man from Chengannur who had just returned from Chennai, who was diagnosed with Kovid on 21, was diagnosed with contact with the disease today.
