Sofia. There are 39 new cases of coronavirus infection in the country, the total number is already 2331. This was said by the Chairman of the National Operational Staff, Major General Ventsislav Mutafchiiski at a briefing in the Council of Ministers, a reporter told FOCUS News Agency. Mutafchiiski said 15 of the new cases were hospitalized. According to him, 1912 were studied around the clock. He added that 1484 are active cases in the country.
“The active districts are 9. Of the new cases, 14 are in Sofia, of which 4 are in hospital and 10 outpatient, Pazardzhik has 10, Yambol – 5, Vidin – 3, Blagoevgrad – 2, Razgrad – 2, Veliko Tarnovo – 1, Kyustendil – 1, Lovech – 1 “, he pointed out.
“A week ago, we announced that the information system that provides data on positive samples is still not well synchronized. We are currently actively working and adjusting the data. Next week we will announce what we have found. The difference in plus or minus is up to 2%. At the very beginning of our work we stated that there will be no manipulation and hiding of data. “There are several people who are not yet listed because they fell ill during the quarantine,” he said.
“There are two new cases of infected children. These are a 4-year-old child from Sofia and a 17-year-old from Razgrad. They have no obvious clinical picture and are not in hospital, “he added.
According to him, there are two new cases from the medical staff. These are a doctor and a nurse from Sofia. He added that a total of 248 cases of infected medics.
Mutafchiiski pointed out that there are 43 new cases of cured people in the country and they are a total of 727 people.
“We continue to announce cured cases after negative PCR tests. This virus is still unknown and we do not share that this virus is not contagious. There is no definite evidence that this is the case. There are data described for rehospitalization and re-development of the disease in a period of more than 21 days after infection. We try these data and recommend working safely, “Mutafchiiski added.
“There are 4 new cases of deaths. They are a 79-year-old man from Blagoevgrad, a 75-year-old man from Pazardzhik, another 75-year-old man from Pazardzhik and a 45-year-old man from Yambol. Their average age is 65.8. There are a total of 120 people, which is 5.1% of the total number, “he added.
He added that 287 people with confirmed COVID-19 were hospitalized. 31 of them are in intensive care units and clinics.
