The first case of coronavirus was reported in Ireland.
Irish authorities have confirmed the first recorded case of coronavirus infection in the country, Sputnik reports. The Irish Ministry of Health does not rule out the possibility that a coronavirus infection is the result of a patient’s recent trip to northern Italy.
“The patient … is currently under proper medical care. Her disease has been diagnosed in accordance with the established COVID-19 diagnostic procedures,” the Health Ministry said in a statement.
