Moroccan press reports confirmed today, Monday, the Confederation of African Football, “CAF”, that is due to rely on the video refereeing technique “Mouse”, during the semi-final and final matches of the Champions League and Confederation.

Egypt’s Al-Ahly and Zamalek will face their Moroccan counterparts Wydad and Raja in the CAF Champions League semi-finals.

The Moroccan sports channel, El Kef, adopted his decision to apply the mouse in the rest of the matches, after the previous confrontations from the two continent championships were conducted with a team of referees.

Al-Ahly qualified for the semi-finals of the African Champions League after drawing with Sun Downs with a goal for each of them, on Saturday, in the second leg of the quarter-finals, after winning the first leg with a clean double.

On Friday, Zamalek qualified for the same round, with a clean goal against Esperance, after winning 3-1.

This is the first time he has been in the CAF Champions League semi-finals since 2005.

Al-Ahly and Zamalek played together in the semi-finals, and Al-Ahmar won back and forth (2-1, 2-0), and then crowned the title.

Al-Ahly and Zamalek had previously risen to the semi-final of the Confederation in 2015, and Al-Ahly came out against Orlando Pirates of South Africa, while Zamalek bid farewell to the championship against the Tunisian coastal star.
