South Africa confirmed today, Thursday, the first infection with the new Corona virus, of a man who visited Italy.
The Ministry of Health said, “The National Institute of Infectious Diseases confirmed that the results of the examinations of the suspected case of Covid-19 were positive,” according to the agency “Reuters”.
“The patient is a 38-year-old man who traveled to Italy with his wife. They were among a group of 10 people, and they returned to South Africa on March 1, 2020.”
The authorities in Italy announced that the death toll from the new Corona virus had risen to 107, after confirming the death of 28, yesterday, Wednesday.
