Russian President Putin signed the decision authorizing the government to limit drug prices in epidemics or emergency situations.

Russian President Vladimir PutinAccording to the text of the decision signed by the government today,vital products‘Will be able to set the highest possible retail prices for medicines and medical supplies that are not on the list, as well as the highest possible replacement prices for manufacturers.

The government will also be able to apply for this authority if drug prices in several regions of the country increase more than 30 percent over a 30-day period.

The price set by the government will be valid for a maximum of 90 days.

The new practice is expected to prevent retailers selling drugs and medical supplies in small batches from putting too high a price.
