MONTEVIDEO (Sputnik) – The Paraguayan Ministry of Public Health and Social Welfare reported that four new cases of coronavirus were confirmed, bringing the number to 41.

“Total cases: 41”, says the updated report that the entity published in its account on the social network Twitter.

So far, there have been 3 declines in the country and Paraguayan President Mario Abdo Benítez announced the upcoming construction of two modular contingency hospitals with the capacity of 200 additional beds to serve COVID-19 patients.
The country applies from March 16 and for two weeks the closing of borders for non-resident foreigners, in order to reduce transmission.
Furthermore, since March 24, the Armed Forces have carried out a patrol in the different cities of the country to enforce the measures proposed by the Government.

Worldwide there were 414,179 confirmed cases and 18,440 deaths from the virus, according to the latest report from the World Health Organization (WHO) published on March 25.
