Liverpool goalkeeper Sadio Manet remained calm after missing the FA Cup last night, following a 0-2 defeat to Chelsea.
The European and world club champion recorded a third loss in his last four games, but the Senegalese is convinced that there is no cause for concern.
“The better team went ahead. In the first part, we played well and had our positions but did not get them. Chelsea scored and won, the match is over,” Manet told talkSPORT.
“We created enough chances, but we weren’t precise enough. However, this is part of football. This is not the first time and will not be the last time something like this has happened to us.”
“These things happen in football. We have another important game on Saturday, then on Wednesday. We will be ready for those games. We need to keep working hard and start winning again if we want to be great champions.”
“We will learn from the loss and be ready again. We know that the Premier League is a tough race. Let’s enjoy the upcoming matches,” Manet added.
