The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) officials said that the aircraft did not have a valid travel plan. India has banned flights from the European Union (EU) since March 18, as part of a campaign to curb Kovid. The flight was flown from Amsterdam to Delhi.

Flights from EU countries have been banned due to the spread of coronaviruses in Italy and Spain. With 35 new cases reported, the total number of Covid casualties in the country rose to 258, the ministry said. Of these, 39 are foreigners, including 17 Italians. A total of four people died in Delhi, Karnataka, Punjab and Maharashtra.
