Customers of the Dutch internet provider Freedom Internet can purchase interactive TV from Canal Digitaal in the future. Both companies have announced this. Both subscriptions are then on one invoice.
Both companies are working together for this, according to the announcement. The Dutch provider Freedom Internet was founded out of dissatisfaction with the disappearance of Xs4all and announced its plans to the world last November. It seems that the collaboration concerns the regular TV offer from Canal Digitaal that is not available separately for consumers. Until now it was unclear how Freedom was going to offer television.
The provider has also announced that there is some delay in connecting the first subscribers. The intention was to have Founding Members request an internet connection from Monday, but putting the website online on Monday does not work, says the provider. This is because all seventeen employees work from home and have been given care tasks due to the coronavirus outbreak in the Netherlands, the provider says. Earlier, the party on the occasion of the launch of Freedom Internet, which would take place next Sunday, was canceled.
