* Official statistics of China’s death toll of 3300 are wrong, British media reported
BEIJING (Reuters) – The actual number of deaths due to coronavirus in China is several times higher than officially released by China. The British media reported on the Daily Mail that 42,000 people have been killed in Wuhan alone in the province of Hubei, the epicenter of the virus.
According to China’s official statistics, 3,300 people have died in the country due to coronation. Authorities say 81,000 people have been infected in the country and 3,182 people died in Wuhan alone.
Over 12 days, the highest death toll was recorded in a city cemetery where more than 500 ashes were left to families each day. There are seven digestion centers in Wuhan alone. It is thought that the funeral of 3,500 people took place every 24 hours. In the last 12 days alone, at least 42,000 people have died. Local residents say the deaths have not been calculated by authorities. Up to 28,000 funerals have been reported in the city a month.
The 50-million-strong city of Hubei was opened recently after a two-month lockdown. Those with a green health certificate who did not have a corona were allowed to leave the province on March 25.
