Yuvraj and Afridi to resume India-Pakistan tour

Former players Yuvraj Singh and Shahid Afridi have called for the resumption of matches between India and Pakistan. Yuvraj Singh and former Pakistani player Afridi made the comments in an interview with Sports360. “It will be a great fight for the Ashes,” she said.

“I remember playing against Pakistan in 2004, 2006 and 2008. None of this is in our hands. We love cricket because we love that game. We can’t decide which country to play against. But no matter how many Indo-Pakistani matches there are, that game is just as good. Yuvraj said.

“I think that if India and Pakistan play a series, it will be bigger than the Ashes.” I don’t think we get it anyway. We are injecting politics into this game. “I think India and Pakistan need to discuss the matter,” Afridi said.

Pakistan has not played any Indo-Pak matches since the tour of India in the 2012-13 season. The two then fought in the ICC and ACC tournaments. The last time India toured Pakistan was during the 2007-2008 season. The last Test match between the two teams was in 2008.

At the same time, the BCCI has been shifted to the UAE in the wake of the BCCI threat to boycott the Asia Cup in Pakistan. The Asia Cup will be held in September. India was crowned champion in the 2018 Asia Cup. India defeated Bangladesh in the final.
