MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Two Tu-142 anti-submarine war planes from the North Russian Fleet made a flight over the neutral waters of the Norwegian and Barents seas, the Northern Fleet press service reported.

“The Tu-142 made a scheduled flight over the neutral waters of the seas of Norway and Barents,” the note said, adding that the entire mission lasted more than 12 hours.

It is also noted that the crews practiced piloting in conditions of absence of terrestrial airborne means.

It is further emphasized that Russian airplanes make their flights with strict observance of international rules regarding the use of airspace over neutral waters.
