RIO DE JANEIRO (Sputnik) – Two aircraft of the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) departed from the military base of Brasilia to the Chinese city of Wuhan (Central-West) to repatriate the group of isolated Brazilians in the city where the new outbreak began coronavirus

The two planes took off shortly after noon on February 5, as reported by the Ministry of Defense through a video on Twitter, remarking that the initial return forecast is “Saturday, February 8”.

The aircraft will stop in Fortaleza (Brazil), Las Palmas (Spain), Warsaw (Poland) and Üruqmi (China), before landing in Wuhan at dawn on February 7, and on the way back they will make the same route in the opposite direction.
Upon returning they will land directly at the Anapolis military base (Goiás state, center of the country), where the group of repatriated Brazilians will go through an 18-day quarantine.
The group consists of 29 people (between Brazilians and Chinese spouses) and also includes seven children.

This February 5, the president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, informed that the military that will participate in the mission will also go through the quarantine period as a precaution.
