Thousands offer sacrifices in Aluva-Manapuram shivaratri celebration

Aluva: Devotees who have embraced the Sivaparinchakri Mantra have made devotion to Manappuram a reality. The crowd that waited for the night was sacrificed early Saturday morning. Aluva Shivaratri in Manapuram was felt by a large number of devotees from early morning.

Believers went down to Periyar to bow down to their fathers at the jungles. The devotees then return to the Shiva temple with a darshan. Devaswom Board has constructed more than 150 altars.

Sacrifices for Shivaratri will end at 11 am. The ceremony will then begin at noon, at 3 o’clock in the afternoon. It will last until 2 a.m. Sunday.

Shivaratri Manapuram has special facilities for the differently abled and the elderly. The first altar, ‘A One’, is reserved exclusively for both parties. If the heterogeneous and the elderly arrive, they will be given preference.
