Nemtsov, who served in the senior positions in the Russian government in the 1990s, was in opposition to the 2000s. Nemtsov was killed on the Bolshoi Moskvoretskiy Bridge on the Moskva river on February 27, 2015. In July 2017, 5 people determined to be involved in the murder were sentenced to 11 to 20 years in prison.
