MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The run over in the German city of Volkmarsen resulted in 52 wounded, including 18 minors, Nordhessen region police reported.
“At the moment 35 people are undergoing treatment in the hospital. Another 17 people received outpatient treatment or were able to leave the hospital. Among the injured are 18 children,” the statement said.
He adds that “the motives of the criminal are not yet clear.”
According to the Police, an individual was arrested at the scene of the incident on February 24 as he was recording what was happening, which violates the right to privacy.
On February 24, around 14.30 local time, a 29-year-old German ran over participants in a carnival parade in Volkmarsen.
The Frankfurt Prosecutor’s Office investigates what happened as an attempted murder.
