Virat Kohli’s disappointing performance in Indian cricket continues. In the 19th consecutive innings, Kohli returned a century. Kohli scored only two runs in the first innings of the Wellington Test. Kohli scored his last century in the Day and Night Test last year against Bangladesh.
The New Zealand captain scored 125 runs in four T20s and 75 in three ODIs. Kohli has only scored a half century in New Zealand.
Indian debacle in Wellington
However, India’s position in the Wellington Test is not safe. India were bowled out for 122 runs for the loss of five wickets. Test debutant paceman Kyle Jaimeson has ruined India. Cheteshwar Pujara (11), Virat Kohli (2) and Hanuma Vihari (7) were the top scorers for Jamieson. Prithvi Shah (16), Southee (27) and Mayank Agarwal (34) were the other bolts.
After Rahul Dravid, India’s trusted off-spinner Ajinkya Rahane (38) and youngster Rishabh Shabab (10) were at the crease. Kohli has been named as the best wicketkeeper in the world. Wellington also became the first Taylor Rose Taylor to complete 100 international matches in all three formats of cricket.
