Russian-Qatari talks on combating terrorism and electronic crime

In Doha, Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev discussed the war against international terrorism and cybercrime, as well as economic security issues.

The Russian-Qatari consultations, which were held today in Doha, were attended by the Qatari side, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, the Prince’s National Security Advisor Muhammad Al-Misnad and head of the State Security Agency Abdullah Al-Khulaifi.
The meeting was also attended by representatives of several ministries and departments in the two countries.

“Security communication is an important component of bilateral cooperation,” Patrushev said, and he expressed satisfaction with the continuous development of relations between the two countries.

He also thanked the Qatari side for the regular participation in the international meetings organized by Russia for the high representatives responsible for security issues.

“The two sides exchanged views on international and regional security issues, with particular attention to the problems of combating international terrorism,” Yevgeny Anuchin, press secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, told reporters after the consultations.
