The MoU was signed today for the relief of expatriate Malayalees who are suffering from excessive air travel rates. This benefit, known as Norka Fair, requires a Norka ID card. This includes expatriates, spouses and children under the age of 18.

The government is of the view that the problem of high travel rates will be remedied to some extent. NORKA ROOTS ID card holders will receive this special benefit starting February 20.
Previously, Norca Fair existed on Oman Airways. The Chief Minister’s Office said the process of renewing the MoU is in final stages.
