More than five rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip to Israel


On Monday, eight rockets were fired from inside Gaza, all of which were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system.

The Israeli military reported that more than five rockets were fired from the Gaza Strip on Israeli territory Monday. The Iron Missile Defense System intercepted 2 percent of the launches.

Pieces of one of the missiles were found at a playground in the Israeli town of Siddiroth.

No injuries were reported. Air warnings were heard Monday in Ashkelon, Sedirut and border villages. Israeli military support services have decided to cancel school activities in the south of the country.

Israeli tanks and airplanes retaliated against Gaza targets in the Gaza Strip. Railway connections between Ashkelon and Beirut were cut off, and roads in areas bordering Gaza were also closed.
