Groenendijk is negotiating in the Kitchen Champion Division about returning as a trainer

Alfons Groenendijk must become the new trainer of Roda JC. De Limburger reports Thursday. After the appointment of Jeffrey van As as technical director of the club from Kerkrade, the red carpet lies ahead of the former trainer of ADO The Hague.

Roda JC presented Van As on Wednesday. The first job of the new technical director is the snare of a new head coach. The talks with Groenendijk are now underway, Van As confirms to De Limburger. The two know each other from their joint period at ADO, where, according to Van Bas, the two ‘worked well together’.
Groenendijk is no stranger in Kerkrade: between 1987 and 1991 he wore the shirt of Roda JC. That is partly why he is a good candidate according to Van As. Roda JC, number 18 of the Kitchen Champion Division, put Jean-Paul de Jong out on the street last week.
Maurice Verberne will be honoring Roda JC for the time being, but immediately faced a painful 1-5 loss against FC Den Bosch on Friday. Groenendijk left ADO Den Haag earlier this season and was replaced by Alan Pardew. He previously worked at Ajax, Willem II and Excelsior, among others.
