Elephant puts trunk in car with tourists and causes chaos – video

A large Indian elephant in Sri Lanka’s Yala National Park has stopped a car with safari participants in search of food and staged a pogrom, reports “The Daily Mail”.

The clip shows how one of the tour participants jumps to another seat to protect the child sitting there. The elephant sticks its trunk in the salon, gropes for plastic bottles and paper and sends them into its mouth. Then the animal realizes that these objects are inedible and spits them out. As soon as the elephant pulls its trunk out of the car, the tourists quickly leave the scene. Another jeep turns to avoid colliding with the elephant.

The video is said to have been filmed a few months ago, but has only now been shared by the newspaper online,

The elephant named Gemunu is known for its bad behavior in Yala National Park. He terrorized tourists for many years and lost one of his tusks in an argument with another elephant.
The Yala National Park is the most visited and second largest national park in Sri Lanka and is known for its variety of wild animals.
The elephants in Sri Lanka represent a major tourist attraction. However, one should not forget that they are wild animals. You should respect your privacy and keep a safe distance at all times.
