Srinivasa Gowda, a native of Moodabadri, Karnataka, has been invited to the spotlight of the sport. The organizers claim that Gowda actually ran faster than Usain Bolt in a Kampala (Potato) competition held on February 1 at Aikala village in southern Kannada.
This was followed by national media. Srinivasa Gowda became a star on social media. It was reported that he had crossed the 145m distance with Poths in just 13.62 seconds in a market competition at Aikala village. The 100 meter event took just 9.55 seconds to complete. The world record holder of the 100-meter Vega King Jamaica, Usain Bolt, took over Gouda at 9.58 seconds.

Seeing this, Union Minister of State Kiran Rijiju confronted Gouda and proposed to facilitate the trial in Sai. Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa also invited Gowda to his office.
Srinivasa Gowda himself is saddened by his celebrity role. He then responded that it would be difficult for Bolt to keep track of him like mud. He also declined an invitation to participate in the trials.
It was followed by reports that another Kampala Jockey (potter) had overtaken Srinivasa Gowda, who had beaten Bolt in a separate competition on Sunday. Nishant Shetty, a native of Bhojagoli Jogibetu, is another player who has gained the attention of the sports world from the field of wool
Another Kambala racer – Nishant Shetty has created a record by completing 100 m in 9.51 sec. He has broken the previous record of Kambala racer – Srinivasa Gowda who covered 100 meters in 9.55 seconds, challenging Usain Bolt’s world record of 9.58 sec#NishantShetty pic.twitter.com/7NmAPBrqLv

Nishant, who completed the 143-meter dash in 13.68 seconds in the Sun-Moon pairs event in Venur on Sunday, clocked just 9.51 seconds in the 100 meter run, India Today reported. Social media has also taken over this.
Instructions to both have good sportsmanship and best training. But do you remember Rameshwar Gurjar, a native of Madhya Pradesh, who celebrated Srinivasa Gowda’s Nishant Shetty? That 24-year-old who celebrated social media similarly seven months ago?
Rameshwar Gurjar’s video of him riding barefoot on the road and crossing the 100-meter mark in less than 11 seconds has made him the star of the day. This made the big news, including the national media. He was named as the ‘naked bolt’. Union Sports Minister Kiran Rijiju tweeted that he would continue to grow Gurjar as it is today. Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan shared the video of Gurjar’s race on Twitter.
India is blessed with talented individuals. Provided with the right opportunity & right platform, they’ll come out with flying colors to create history!

So just as Srinivasa Gowda was invited to Saiyil Trials, Rameshwar invited Gurjar that day. Trials were also conducted. Trials were at TT Stadium in Bhopal. But the defeat suffered by Gurjar was shocking. He finished last in the trials. It took 12.9 seconds to finish. Gurjar then went on another day of trials and finished the day in 13-14 seconds.
Rameshwar Gurjar’s trial run was conducted at T Nagar Stadium by senior coaches of SAI and State Govt. Here, Rameshwar is at the extreme left of running. He is exhausted because the publicity of the glare could not perform well. Will give proper time and training to him. pic.twitter.com/RQtkxWFDFR

All these people who go viral on social media as a challenge to Bolt are performing in their own natural environment. Sprinters are trained on synthetic tracks with spike wear and years of hard work. Srinivasa Gowda himself once again reminds us that ‘I am a Bolt Tracker and I am in the mud’.
