SC Cambuur and De Graafschap have booked a difficult victory on Friday in the Kitchen Champion Division. The Frisians won 0-1 at Almere City FC and the Doetinchemmers beat Roda JC with 2-0. FC Volendam just lost points.
After an hour of play, Giovanni Korte scored the only goal for Cambuur in Almere. The visitors were well off when Thomas Verheijdt missed a huge opportunity on behalf of the Flevolanders in the final phase.
At De Vijverberg, De Graafschap only took the lead in the middle of the second half against Roda through a goal from Mohamed Hamdaoui. In the final phase, Callum Slattery secured the three points for the home team.
Cambuur continues to lead the way through the win. Coach Henk de Jong’s team is four points ahead of number two De Graafschap. Number four Young Ajax can reach the same level as the Achterhoekers on Monday with a win at NAC Breda.

FC Volendam loses points against Telstar
Number three FC Volendam dropped valuable points against Telstar: 1-1. Coach Wim Jonk’s team quickly took the lead thanks to an own goal from Shayne Pattinama, after which Glynor Plet tied the score. Volendam has two points less than De Graafschap.
NEC climbed to sixth place thanks to a 2-0 win over last-named Helmond Sport. Jellert van Landschoot and Zian Flemming were accurate for the people of Nijmegen.
In the Van Donge & De Roo Stadium Excelsior and Young AZ made it a true spectacle piece: 3-3. The Kralingers bent a 0-2 deficit into a 3-2 lead, but gave the win back a bit later. Excelsior is seventh with as many points as NEC.
In the remaining three games, FC Den Bosch (which played without fans on the fanatic M-Side) was 3-2 too strong for Jong FC Utrecht, the derby between FC Eindhoven and Jong PSV ended in 1-1 and FC Dordrecht won with 1-3 at TOP Oss.
