The government has sacked top health officials in China for allegedly failing in its defense against the coronavirus.
Several prominent persons, including the health commission chief, have been sacked. In addition, the World Red Cross deputy director of China has been sacked for failing to properly utilize the funds allocated for corona defense.
Of the 108 deaths on Monday, 103 were from China’s Hubei province. Corona has been confirmed for 2097 people. As of this date, 42,638 people in China are currently confirmed by Corona.
Chinese President Xi Jin Ping visited hospitals on Monday. Shi is making his public visit for the first time since his coronation in China.
Shi Jin Ping said after the visit that more stringent measures should be taken to protect Corona.
A special team of the World Health Organization for Corona Prevention arrived in China on Monday.
