The management of PFC Botev Plovdiv has finally appointed a director of the children’s and adolescent school to take the place of the current coach of the representative team Ferrari Spasov. The new boss is the former central defender Dimitar Mladenov. Until now, the specialist was a breeder in the “yellow-black” academy.The new head of the academy has already been introduced to the coaching staff of the school, said Komatevo.
Dimitar Mladenov was on March 12, 1962 in Plovdiv. He played for Botev (Plovdiv) from 1979 to 1997 with one break from two seasons (1989-1991), when he competed for CSKA (27 games, 1 goal), he also played at Lokomotiv (Gorna Oryahovitsa) ( 15 matches, 1 goal), Haskovo (1995 / es. – 17 matches and 1 goal in BF) and Maritsa (1996 / ex. – 19 games and 2 goals in BF). In the championships of “A” group he participated in 389 meetings and scored 6 goals, with only Botev (Pd) team participated in 347 meetings and scored 4 goals.
With the team of Botev (Pd) he won the cup of the country in 1981, vice-champion in 1986 and bronze medalist in 1981, 1983, 1985, 1987, 1988, 1993, 1994 and 1995. With the team of CSKA he is a champion of the country and a finalist for the Soviet Army Cup in 1990. There are 14 matches for the “A” national team, 6 matches for the Olympic team, 3 matches for the “B” national team and 11 matches for the youth national team.
With the team of Botev (Pd) he played in over 65 official and friendly international meetings, in which he scored 3 goals and in about 65 control meetings with 2 goals and in 71 meetings for the country cup with 2 goals. There are 33 matches and 2 goals in the Euro tournaments (9 games for CSKA and 2 games for Botev in the CASH, 6 games for Botev in the KNK and 16 games with 2 goals for Botev in the UEFA Cup tournament). In 1981 he was awarded the title “Master of Sport”.
