BEIRUT / MOSCOW (Sputnik) – At least one person died and another was injured when a car bomb exploded in Damascus, the SANA agency said.
“A civilian lost his life and another was injured after the explosion of a bomb placed in a car near the Tishrin stadium in Damascus,” the media said.
Later, Al Ikhbariya chain reported that one more person was injured due to the explosion of another vehicle, which occurred near the Umayyad Square in Damascus.
Syria has been experiencing a conflict since March 2011 in which government forces face armed opposition groups and terrorist organizations.
The solution of the conflict is sought in two platforms, that of Geneva, under the auspices of the UN, and that of Astana (former name of the Kazakh capital, today Nur-Sultan), co-sponsored by Russia, Turkey and Iran.
