Three Valkyries were present; the VP1, VP2 and VP3, all three still prototypes. The VP1 also came into action at Silverstone during the weekend of the British Grand Prix. That car, with the special Red Bull livery, was driven today by Verstappen: “I was here at Silverstone to see the first laps of the Aston Martin Valkyrie last year, but it’s always better to be behind the wheel “It’s very cool to be one of the first to drive such a bizarre car,” said Verstappen after completing his “test drive.”
Aston Martin offers the two drivers this opportunity, of course, because of the partnership with Red Bull Racing. The brand is the main sponsor of the Formula 1 team and, as mentioned, collaborates with Red Bull (and its chief designer Adrian Newey) on the Valkyrie. Besides a nice first introduction to the Valkyrie, the trips from Verstappen and Albon are also meant to share some feedback about the driving behavior of the car. In the coming period the Valkyrie will be finalized and production will then be started.
