Anderlecht have to miss a lot of players these days, because almost half of the team is in the infirmary. With Marko Pjaca and Dejan Joveljic, two of the three acquisitions from Deadline Day can make their debut in Ghent on Friday. However, the third acquisition, Kemar Lawrence, was still waiting.
On Friday morning the Jamaican left back finally landed in Zaventem, where he was met at the airport by team manager Tom Colpaert. Lawrence should have arrived earlier, but his passport turned out to be full. “It took a while, but everything is fine now,” he said on arrival La Dernière Heure.
Tonight’s game is of course too early for Lawrence, but he should be eligible to play next Saturday’s game against KV Mechelen. Anderlecht have another option in the back.
