This year’s dance festival has been held in the vast Croydon Lanfranc School Auditorium, excluding the usual satsang, due to the presence of artists from previous years. Asha Unnithan, the Blessed Artist, presides over the dance as usual.
Noted film stars Padmashree Jayaram, wife Parvathi Jayaram, Nedumudi Venu, music director M Jayachandran, Surya Krishnamurthy and famed dancer Dr Kumaran are also present. Already a large number of art and cultural dignitaries have greeted the 7th London Shivaratri dance festival, beginning with Rajasree Warrior.
The London Hindu Aikya Vedi is conducting monthly rituals and ceremonies to introduce and encourage a growing generation of Indian performing arts, especially temple arts.
