37 buildings damaged in 4 districts of Malatya will be destroyed in the 6.8 magnitude earthquake centered in Sivrice district of Elazig.

In the 6.8 magnitude earthquake that occurred on January 24 in Sivrice district of Elazığ, an evaluation meeting was held under the chairmanship of Governor Aydın Baruş for the demolition of the heavily damaged buildings in Malatya.

Besides the Governor Baruş, Deputy Minister of Environment and Urbanization, Mücahit Demirtaş, Metropolitan Mayor Selahattin Gürkan and related institution managers attended the meeting.

In the meeting, which was heavily damaged by the earthquake, A total of 37 buildings, 24 in Doğanyol district, 10 in Battalgazi district, 2 in Pütürge district and 1 in Kale district. After approval from the district governorships, it was decided to be demolished.
