Saudi Arabia announces its position on the deal of the century

Saudi Arabia announced its position on the century deal announced by US President Donald Trump on Tuesday evening to achieve peace between Palestinians and Israelis.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Twitter, “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reviewed the announcement of the US administration about its peace plan entitled“ Seeing peace and prosperity and a brighter future. ”In light of what was announced, the Kingdom reiterates its support for all Efforts to reach a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue. ”

She added, “The Kingdom has made great efforts, since the reign of His Majesty King Abdulaziz bin Abdul Rahman Al Saud, and until the prosperous era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to support the brotherly Palestinian people and stand by him in all international forums to achieve their legitimate rights.”

“Among those efforts was its presentation of the Arab Peace Initiative in 2002, and the initiative clearly affirmed that the military solution to the conflict did not bring peace or security to either party, and that a just and comprehensive peace is a strategic choice.”

And I stressed that this comes to push the peace process forward to reach an agreement that will realize the brotherly Palestinian people their legitimate rights.

The Saudi monarch, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, said in a phone call to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, “The kingdom’s position will not change from the Palestinian issue in order to preserve the rights of the Palestinian people.”

King Salman said: “Your issue is ours, and the issue of Arabs and Muslims, and we are with you.”

On Tuesday evening, US President Donald Trump delivered a speech announcing the proposed “peace plan” between the Palestinians and Israelis, known as the “Deal of the Century”, in the presence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The US President stressed that “the proposed peace plan between the Israelis and the Palestinians is a strong path forward.”

Trump said his “proposed peace plan” is fundamentally different from the plans of previous US administrations.

Trump also thanked Oman, Bahrain and the UAE for helping the United States see the “deal of the century” and sending their ambassadors to attend his speech today at the White House.

It is reported that in late 2017 the Century deal was announced, which includes a peace plan from the American point of view, but the announcement of the terms of the deal remained secret until it was announced today, and for the past two years, Trump has taken a series of decisions in support of Israel, most notably the recognition of Jerusalem As the capital of Israel, and the elimination of financial support provided by the United States to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), he also announced the annexation of the Golan to Israel.
