The Russian “RT” channel announced today, Wednesday, that it has exceeded 10 billion views on YouTube.

Moscow – Sputnik. “RT” has become the first channel to have exceeded 10 billion views on YouTube among news channels. RT excels by the total number of views on all news channel accounts, such as “BBC”, “CNN” Al-Jazeera, euronews and Fox News.

One of RT’s most popular videos last year was the arrest video of WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange. The RT Raptley was the only multimedia agency to broadcast photos of his arrest at the building of the Ecuadorian embassy in London.

It is worth noting that the channel started publishing its articles on YouTube in 2007, and in 2013 it reached one billion views. Content vice president Robert Keynes described this as an impressive achievement and expressed his joy that the channel has reached these levels.
