The newspaper expects that Genk will no longer complete incoming transfers. Dimitri de Condé, however, had indicated before Berge’s departure that a replacement for the Norwegian would be sought. That successor will probably not come until the summer.
With this, the winter mercato of Genk, on the incoming side, already appears to be completed. Genk brought four newcomers to Limburg with Mats Daehli, Thomas Didillon, Kristian Thorstvedt and Eboue Kouassi. It will probably also stay that way.
Outgoing movement is still expected at the Dutch champion. The Romanian defender Vladimir Screciu is close to a loan to Lommel SK, where former trainer Peter Maes is at the helm.
