The secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Saeb Erekat, announced that the Palestinians and their leadership did not appoint anyone to speak on their behalf or negotiate with them, and that the Palestinian leadership began implementing the decisions of the Central Council of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

Erekat said, in an interview with “Sputnik” today, Wednesday: “The Palestinian leadership has started implementing all the decisions of the Palestinian Central Council, and now reconciliation must take place to preserve the national project and we will remain on our land and we will adhere to the national principles.”

Erekat stressed that the emergency meeting, next Saturday, for the Arab League at the level of foreign ministers will emphasize “the Arab peace initiative, ending the occupation, issues of the final solution, and the Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital and the decisions of the previous Arab summits.”

The Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization noted that “the Palestinian leadership has not authorized anyone to negotiate or speak on its behalf,” adding: “The State of Palestine and the Palestine Liberation Organization do not interfere in the affairs of Arab countries.”

On Tuesday, Trump announced his plan to settle the Palestinian-Israeli issue known as the “Deal of the Century”, in the presence of senior officials in the Trump administration, the head of the Israeli caretaker government, Benjamin Netanyahu, and the ambassadors of Oman, the Emirates and Bahrain.
