Where they go in isolation is viewed on a case-by-case basis. That does not necessarily have to be in a hospital, said Minister Bruno Bruins on Friday.

The fourteen-day period is obvious, as the new coronavirus has an incubation period of two to ten days, the ministry said. Other countries that retrieve their citizens use the same period. About twenty Dutch people have indicated that they want to leave the area.

Minister Stef Blok said on Thursday that the Dutch who want to leave Wuhan may already be able to come back this weekend. The Netherlands is working with a “European partner” on the return. According to insiders, it is about France.
