Scientists have confirmed the discovery of a new species of huge carnivorous dinosaur, belonging to the series “Allosaur Gemadcini” and it was placed in the Museum of Natural History in Utah, United States of America.
The scientists confirmed that the new dinosaur possesses a number of traits that qualify it to be distinguished from other types of allosaurus.
The scientists explained that he had lived in the western region of North America during the late Jurassic period about 152-157 million years ago, which makes this species the oldest known dinosaur, according to what Male website “sci-news”.
This series was discovered in the early nineties of the last century, where the ancient paleontologist George Engelman discovered the first fossil specimens of this allosaur in the mid-summer of 1990 at the National Monument for Dinosaurs in the northeastern American Utah.
It took four years to extract the first skeleton of that dinosaur between 1990 and 1994, when the mass of the rock that contained the dinosaur reached 2,700 kg. That first discovered skeleton missed the head of a dinosaur, but it included the bones of toes and some of the vertebrae of the tail. The skull was later discovered in 1996 using a radiation detector by Ramal Jones.
