Clement immediately counts on Krmencik: “If you score twice against Antwerp”

Michael Krmencik may be making his debut for Club Brugge next weekend. The long-awaited new attacker of Blauw-Zwart is currently not entitled to play, but coach Philippe Clement hopes that everything will be sorted out quickly.

“We have been busy for a while getting a profile that we did not have”, the coach of Bruges said The newspapaer. “We ended up with Krmencik in no time. Club had known him for a long time and there was already interest in bringing him in.”

Clement hopes to use his new Czech attacker next weekend against Royal Antwerp FC. And he counts on goals. “He trained with him on Friday morning, but I didn’t let him participate in everything,” the 45-year-old coach continued.
“Thursday was hard for him: physical testing, traveling … Whether he can play on Sunday? First we hope he will be eligible to play. But an attacker who already scored twice against Antwerp this season is always interesting to take with him.”
Krmencik scored with Viktoria Plzen in the qualifications for the Europa League against The Great Old. In principle, he will be in the core on Sunday, if he is entitled to play, of course.
