Australia batsman Marnus Labushen has overtaken Team India captain Virat Kohli in the latest ICC Test rankings. Labusheen has overtaken Kohli to the number three position, while Virat has slipped to number four. New Zealand captain Kane Williamson remains at number one and Steve Smith at number one. England batsman Joe Root is present at number five. Cheteshwar Pujara, who played a brilliant innings in the Brisbane Test, has reached the number six position, leaving behind Babar Azam.

Virat Kohli missed the last team match of the four-Test series played against Australia as he went on Paternity Leave. Marnus Labuschen’s performance against Australia in India was superb and he scored 426 runs in 8 innings of 4 matches at an average of 53.25, including a century. Labushen was also the highest run-scorer in the series. Labushen partner Steve Smith had his bat in the last two Tests against Team India and scored 313 runs in 4 Tests. Virat Kohli hit a half-century in the first innings of the Adelaide Test. Apart from Kohli and Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane is also named in the top ten, who holds the number eight position. Rishabh Pant, who played a brilliant innings of 89 against Australia in Gaba, is at number 13.
