The issue of the confirmation of 4500 teachers of DU to be raised in Parliament: AAP

Rajya Sabha MP of Aam Aadmi Party Sushil Kumar Gupta has written a letter to Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal and Vice Chancellor of Delhi University. This paper is about the solution and perpetuation of Adhawk teachers’ problems. According to Gupta, he will also raise this subject in the upcoming Parliament session. It has demanded implementation of a circular of the Ministry of Education on 5 December 2019. According to the Rajya Sabha MP, instructions should be given to the officials related to the university that this circular be implemented without delay.

A delegation of Delhi Teachers Association (DTA) met Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Gupta on the subject of teachers. The delegation included Dr. Hansraj Suman, in-charge of DTA, Dr. Asha Rani, vice-chairman, Dr. Narendra Kumar Pandey, etc. The governing body will be given necessary instructions to implement the circular dated December 5, 2019 for adjustment and confirmation of adhoc teachers in 28 colleges affiliated to the Delhi government. Expressing concern over the apathetic attitude of the university till now, MP Gupta has mentioned in the letter that because of this, the future of about 4500 teachers is in danger.

The MP has also emphasized in the letter to the Minister of Education that the implementation of the circular on 5 December 2019 will increase stability and quality in higher education. He also assured the delegation that they would raise questions before the current central government regarding the implementation of the circular of December 5 in the upcoming parliament session. Dr. Suman said, she will soon meet with the governing body chairman of Delhi government colleges and pressurize them to solve the problems of ad hoc teachers. Also, the DTA will be working to ensure their adjustment and fixation.
